Job Overview

Shriners International is looking for a talented individual to join our team as our Manager, Audiovisual Communications.

 

The Manager, Audiovisual Communications is responsible for managing and executing all stages of video and audio production, distribution and archival working in cross functional teams throughout the Shriners organizations. The Manager will be in charge of managing all video and audio production from idea to completion, including but not limited to: patient success stories, on hold messages, corporate videos, PSAs and commercials, hospital tours, web podcasts, event videos, social media videos and others as determined by supervisor. Creates or edits materials as needed for distribution. Chooses the best formats and distribute appropriately to local stations, hospitals, temples, events and other arenas. Informs Shriners Children's and Shriners HQ employees and members of the board of the availability of current commercials and PSAs for radio and television. Maintains a catalogue of available audio/visual resources for our stakeholders.

The Manager also acts as the branding manager for all digital A/V media and is the liaison for quality control and production of our pieces produced by our various external agencies. Also collaborates and supports our digital asset management (DAM) systems through the multimedia/digital assets specialist as well as our social media efforts. Candidate must be able to travel at least 30% for this role.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

 

Audio / Visual Media 

  • Manage video and photography projects: produce and/or oversee all audio / visual pieces
  • Develop visual concepts and scripts: conduct research to obtain necessary information for story lines.
  • Collaborate with internal team members as well as vendors on the creation of high-quality audio and visual productions
  • Oversee and track budgets and expenses for each production
  • Develop, manage and coordinate all schedules, logistics and technical aspects of all audiovisual productions
  • Perform all editing and post-production activities, which include reviewing and archiving footage, making editorial decisions, rough cuts, audio adjustments, music selections, color corrections to the highest quality standards
  • Determine technical creative decisions regarding such elements as lighting, shooting angles and audio needs.
  • Create and edit audiovisual material for broadcast, Web and presentations.
  • PSA / Commercial distribution to local stations, temples or events.
  • Support and update digital asset management system
  • Research latest video styles and trends, help implement to our videos.
  • Ensure branding is consistent across all videos
  • Create and train on best practices for audio and video.
  • Review videos to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Traffic and deliver final edited videos, b-roll, photos and other deliverables
  • Coordinate and manage Live Streaming
  • Maintain and procure all audio-visual equipment
  • Provide creative consulting to team members and stakeholders, leveraging creative and marketing knowledge to develop new concepts or campaigns.
  • Implements and maintains a video strategy.
  • Prepare project specifications, project work agreements and proposals.

Event-related/ Marketing-related duties 

  • Work closely with membership department on all Marketing and Communications and marketing-related efforts.
  • Help develop strategies for Shriners International marketing campaigns and efforts.
  • Create materials for Shriners International marketing campaigns such as: videos and other visual pieces as assigned by supervisor.
  • Oversee and manage productions, video and presentations for Imperial Session. Act as
  • A/V manager and liaison on site
  • Support audiovisual needs for our signature events.

Production Studio Management 

  • Manage the staffing and resources to execute production within onsite studio.
  • Oversee maintenance of the studio equipment to ensure production readiness.
  • Train team members to diversify capabilities and increase studio productivity.
  • Operate and execute production with equipment required for studio projects

Qualifications

Experience Required/Preferred:

  • 5 years of experience in an associated field required
  • 7 years or more years of experience in an associated field preferred
  • Not-for-profit experience preferred

Education Required/Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in PR, Communications or a related field required
  • Master's Degree in PR preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to edit video and audio for Web and Broadcast
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge of video and audio formats and codecs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of use of Adobe Suite production suite.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Final Cut and Adobe Premiere.
  • Team motivation and leadership.

  • Continuing education through the pursuit of a degree and / or attendance to seminars and conferences.
